Cutter Change

Different cutters work better in different material. It's worth the time to change them out when needed. A dull or improper cutter can be very unproductive.

The Ollie Riedel

This is a picture of the Workhorse Tender tied up to the now scraped Ollie Riedel. The dredge was built in the mid 1920's and worked all the way up until about 2002.

This was the main pump engine on the Ollie. She was a slow turner at 300 rpm. The engine was big enough for a person to fit in the crank case.
